Job Description
The Electrical Engineering Lead reports to the Engineering Manager and leads a team of Electrical Engineers while collaborating closely with the Projects Maintenance and Operations teams.
In this role you will ensure the safe operation maintenance and optimization of installed electrical equipment. You will focus on enhancing the long-term functionality and maintainability of these assets driving project work to improve their performance.
The primary work location is the Alkmaar office with occasional visits to onshore facilities in Noord Holland and offshore sites in the Dutch North Sea.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Technical Authority for the electrical discipline maintaining and upholding performance standards.
Lead and coordinate the Electrical Engineering team ensuring tasks are prioritized and executed with the right timing and quality.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and relevant legislation striving to exceed them where possible.
Provide engineering guidance support and recommendations for modifications improvements and new projects.
Take charge in troubleshooting and resolving complex non-routine electrical system and equipment issues.
Conduct root cause analysis for system failures to improve reliability.
Manage electrical-related projects from initiation to completion.
Supervise engineering and installation contractors to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Stay current on changes in legislation and industry standards ensuring that updates are incorporated into inspection and maintenance programs.
What Were Looking For
We are interested in hearing from professionals who have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in the electrical engineering field. Ideal candidates will have expertise in Low Voltage and High Voltage systems Electrical drive systems Electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres (ATEX) and a strong understanding of electrical and instrument standards. Fluency in both Dutch and English is required for this role.

Proven experience in leading and developing a small team of junior engineers.
Familiarity with engineering contracts procedures and standards.
Expertise in electrical diagnostic and measurement techniques including the ability to interpret results (e.g. partial discharge testing).
Experience working within multi-disciplinary project teams.
Client-side experience in an operational facility.
Practical field experience in troubleshooting electrical equipment failures.
VCA Vol certification.
Experience with safety-related reviews such as HAZOP and SIL.
Residency in the Netherlands.
