Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate Banking Credit Analyst - Banking Institutions
Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate Banking Credit Analyst to join the Banks division of its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) which is one of five primary industry coverage verticals within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB). This role sits within the Portfolio Management and Underwriting (PMU) unit of the Banks division. This role focuses on the credit risk management of primarily counterparty credit products provided to institutional clients which consist of Banks Multilateral Institutions and Wells Fargo Inter-Company Affiliates.
In this role you will:
Perform fundamental credit analysis on assigned portfolio names to evaluate business models financial profiles and all material relevant risks
Produce formal credit memos to support credit decisions on business opportunities risk ratings product limits and other items
Monitor assigned portfolio names on an ongoing basis for existent and emerging risks
Administer credit items consistent with policies procedures and processes
Update portfolio workbooks and credit systems to ensure timely and accurate data
Review and interpret legal documentation of credit products to evaluate salient credit terms
Collaborate and consult with stakeholders on credit matters as warranted
Take on ad-hoc projects as assigned
Required Qualifications US:
6 months of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in credit underwriting and analysis preferably of banking institutions
Knowledge of financial services credit administration and risk management practices
Understanding of intermediate financial accounting principles and concepts
High level of initiative and accountability of outcomes
Strong time management and task prioritization
Excellent written and verbal communication
High attention to detail and data integrity
BS / BA degree or higher in accounting finance economics or similar
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint)
Familiarity with S&P Global Market Intelligence
