Job Description Summary

As a Specialist youll conduct and document complex financial budget and business-related addition youll prepare forecast and trends analyses to support financial projects and business operations. Youll have opportunities to lead special financial business related studies analyze complex budgets and forecast funding requirements. You may serve in an associate lead/supervisory role.

Job Description

  • Supports changes being employed to move organization toward the use of new technologies or into new endeavors; offers to be part of new changes within the organization.

  • Keeps informed of new methods and technologies that will affect and improve own work.

  • Supports the changes being put forth by the organization or senior leaders; willing to accept and see the benefits of change; offers suggestions to managers around the best ways to incorporate changes into the way we work.

  • Works to build knowledge of organizational structure and products to drive superior results.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director. This is an individual contributor role.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in finance accounting economics or a related field; degree preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: Pursuit of CPA or other related technical insurance designation desirable.

Experience: Typically six or more years related experience in finance accounting insurance or similar field. Product or business unit specific experience required.

Knowledge Abilities and Skills: In-depth knowledge of statistical/financial analysis financial statement and budget preparation and enterprise-wide business operations. Knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting practices and insurance/financial services business requirements. Project management concepts and techniques.

Other criteria including leadership skills competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring managers leader and HR Business Partner.
