You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailServes as a lead technician and office manager under the general supervision of a Resident Engineer. Performs highly technical activities on highway construction projects includinghighway electrical freeway management system and landscape construction contract administration. Responds to information requests from internal and external partners purchasessupplies and utilizes the Pen V system for daily diaries and pay quantities. Monitors project budgets and generates monthly estimates and weekly time reports via Fast systems. Maintainsengineering records and project files prepares pay estimates for contractors and Resident Engineer finalizes letter of agreements and change orders checks certified payroll and preparesand completes project closeouts.
Payroll input; finance purchasing and monthly bill paying: human resource processes/personnel actions; training coordination; facility and fleetresponsibilities; and correspondence communications research and scheduling. Ensure that all applicable policies procedures rules and statutes arefollowed.
Review technical problems and develop procedures and recommendation for resolution of issues. Review and/or prepare contract documents related to force account. change orders. supplemental agreement subcontracts and financial documentation forcurrent and completed projects.
Review construction plans specifications and documentation to ensure compliance with federal state and local requirements. Responsible for all administrative duties delegated by the Resident Engineer Including responding to inquiries from co-workers contractors the public andother stakeholders. May drive a state vehicle in the course and scope of state business.

Construction Contract Administration with Journey-level experience as a Senior Technician executing administrative tasks or advanced engineering and construction records management along with associated responsibilities or possessing a bachelors degree in engineering or a closely related field may be considered as a substitute for the necessary experience.
Valid Arizona Drivers License at the time of hire -This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).
