DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
This position supports the Health Sciences faculty by setting up and tearing down laboratory rooms for classes organizing supplies and equipment and supporting a full-functional lab ensuring a safe and optimum learning environment. This position is 28 hours per week.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB
Set-up and tear down of labs according to the clinical instructors lab curriculum to include changing & laundering linen.
Organizes the laboratories durable and expendable supplies.
Monitor supplies that are checked in and out by students and faculty.
Care and maintenance of all mannequins.
Assist in supervising work study students assigned to the lab.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSSUBSTITUTIONS CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & APPEAL RIGHTS:
Experience Only:One year of experience in a medical office medical laboratory as a CNA or EMT or other laboratory type setting. Experience must be in a business type setting and the primary duties of the job. Part-time work will be prorated.
Education & Experience:A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to one (1) year.
Substitutions:An associates degree or certificate in Medical Office Assistant or Practical Nurse may substitute for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:EMT MA or CNA or similar specialized health care training preferred or which you hold a licensure or certification.
