Devsinc is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Data Engineer to join our growing this role you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to the design development and maintenance of data pipelines and data systems. Your primary focus will be to support data processing and analytics initiatives that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and implementation of data pipelines and ETL processes to collect clean and transform data from various sources.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and data scientists to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that facilitate data accessibility and usability.
- Support the maintenance and optimization of existing data systems to ensure accurate and efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Perform data quality checks and troubleshoot issues to improve data accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in documenting data processes workflows and architecture to ensure knowledge sharing and team alignment.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in the field of data engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in data engineering data analysis or a related field (internships or relevant projects are acceptable).
- Basic understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python Java or R.
- Knowledge of data modeling and ETL concepts.
- Willingness to learn about big data technologies cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and data warehousing solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for data and technology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
