About the Role
Were looking for an experiencedIAM Automation Engineerto lead the design implementation and management of automated identity and access infrastructure acrossAWSGCP and hybrid environments. Youll work hands-on withOktaActive Directory (AD) andLDAP while building scalable auditable workflows usingInfrastructure as Codeautomated secrets and certificate management andmodern scripting languageslikePythonBash andPowerShell
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintainInfrastructure as Code (IaC)for IAM systems usingTerraformAnsible andCloudFormation.
- Automate IAM lifecycle events (provisioning deprovisioning role and group management) acrossOktaActive Directory andLDAP.
- Create and maintainautomated workflowsusingPythonPowerShell andBashto support IAM pipelines and cloud-native functions (e.g.AWS Lambda).
- Manageautomated secrets rotationandcertificate lifecycleusing tools likeAWS Secrets ManagerACMVault orCertbot.
- Integrate withCI/CD pipelines(e.g. GitHub Actions Jenkins GitLab) for continuous deployment of IAM and security configurations.
- Orchestrateevent-driven automationthat reacts to identity lifecycle events and aligns with zero trust and least privilege principles.
- Connect IAM workflows withticketing systemssuch asServiceNowandJira enabling self-service and audit logging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IAM automation aligns with security compliance and operational goals
Required Qualifications:
- 35 years of experience in IAM DevSecOps or infrastructure automation roles.
- Solid hands-on experience withOktaActive Directory andOpenLDAPin cloud or hybrid environments.
- Strong automation experience usingTerraformAnsible andCloudFormation.
- Proven scripting ability inPythonBash andPowerShell(you should be comfortable switching between them as needed).
- Experience withAWS services(IAM Lambda Secrets Manager ACM) andGCP IAMtools.
- Familiarity withCI/CD pipelinesand Git-based version control.
- Integration experience withServiceNowJira or other ITSM platforms.
- Working knowledge of IAM best practices: RBAC ABAC SSO JIT access and audit controls
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience automatingcertificate lifecycle managementusing tools likeCertbotVenafiSmallstep orVault PKI.
- Familiarity withfederated identity protocols(SAML OIDC)SCIM provisioning and SSO integrations.
- Knowledge ofsecrets rotationzero standing privilege and identity governance best practices.
- Experience writing modular automation code for reuse across cloud environments or business units.
