Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Accounting Associate assists the Accounting Cost Center in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements by creating and processing journal entries. Creates and submits Customer Invoices. Investigates and communicates information related to misdirected receipts. Responsible for the collection of overdue customer invoices. Posts and reconciles daily customer and other income receipts. Assists in the identification and disposition of unclaimed property resulting from uncashed checks issued by Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Creates and processes journal entries
- Creates and submits customer invoices.
- Posts and reconciles daily customer receipts for respective customer accounts.
- Responsible for collection of past due invoice amounts on drug studies.
- Investigates and communicates information related to misdirected pharmacy patient payments received by Patient Financial Services.
- Posts daily Bank Lock box receipts and maintains support log.
- Assists in the identification and disposition of unclaimed property resulting from uncashed checks issued by Accounts Payable.
- Assists the Accountants as needed.
- Handles special assignments and other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to perform the professional clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience- Associates Degree in accounting business or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- 1 or more years of general accounting or office related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience- Bachelors Degree in accounting business or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- 3 or more years general accounting experience
- 3 or more years of experience navigating Workday.
Knowledge Requirements- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel typing and 10 Key.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Critical thinking skills to make logical judgments.
- Strong organizational and communications skills.
