Krero m te tranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellingtonis currently recruiting two Pkenga Matua - Senior Lecturers in Mechatronics to join Te Kura Mtai Pkaha Prorohiko - School of Engineering and Computer Science on a permanent full-time this role you will be responsible for teaching research and for shaping our newMechatronics Engineering programme at the Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.
Key responsibilities:
- Research: Lead groundbreaking research projects in the field of Mechatronics focusing on areas such as robotics automation systems engineering space engineering medical technologies and sensor technology.
- Teaching: Deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate courses inspiring students to become future leaders in the field.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to students fostering their academic and professional growth.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with industry partners government agencies and other academic institutions to advance the field of Mechatronics.
- Service: Contribute to the department college and university through service activities and leadership roles.

Key requirements:
- Ph.D. in Mechatronics or a closely related field.

- Experience in industry or academia demonstrating a deep understanding of the field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
