Multiple Faculty Search in Clinical Psychology
The Department of Psychology at the University of Otago is located in Te Waipounamu the stunning South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand. We are seeking up to two outstanding scholars in clinical psychological science to join our world-class academic department.
Successful candidates should be internationally recognised for their excellence in research and/or societal impact and must have a strong or emerging track record of conducting research that drives meaningful scientific and/or societal change. Successful candidates will be appointed to the position of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant and Associate Professor respectively in the North American System) dependent on academic achievement skills and experience.

Successful candidates must have the following skills and experience:
Completed or nearly completed PhD with established research focus in any area of clinical psychology. Expertise in adult clinical intervention neuropsychology personality disorders addictions or substance use or clinical supervision would be a particular strength as would capacity for culturally sensitive and responsive practice.
Eligibility for registration as a clinical psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board.
Outstanding record of research excellence or demonstrated potential for development of such.
Research with strong scholarly and/or societal impact or the potential for impact including translational research which complements existing faculty strengths.
Commitment to rigour and ethics in research and teaching as well as to collegiality.
Excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels or potential for teaching excellence. We are seeking applicants from a range of teaching backgrounds that complement the department and its clinical psychology training programme.
The Position / Te Mahi
Responsibilities include:
Development or maintenance of a high-impact research programme including publishing in high-quality peer-reviewed journals obtaining external research funding and supervising postgraduate research students (PhD Masters Honours).
Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses including developing new course content and teaching materials participating in collaborative teaching activities contributing to bicultural curriculum development and assessing student performance.
Contributing to the operation and strategic direction of the Department and its clinical psychology programme.

The salary scales are as follows:
Lecturer: $97377 to $114943
Senior Lecturer: $120494 to $148024
