Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutor/Skills Coach for our Financial Apprenticeships program. This role is pivotal in guiding and supporting our apprentices as they develop their skills and knowledge in the financial sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance teaching and coaching and will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality training sessions to apprentices in financial subjects ensuring alignment with industry standards.
- Provide individualized support and coaching to apprentices helping them to achieve their learning objectives and develop practical skills.
- Assess and evaluate apprentice progress through formative and summative assessment methods.
- Develop and update course materials to reflect current trends and changes in the financial sector.
- Maintain accurate records of apprentice attendance progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with employers to ensure that training is relevant and meets the needs of the workplace.
- Provide feedback to apprentices and assist them in preparing for examinations and qualifications.
- Participate in professional development activities to continuously enhance teaching and coaching skills.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment where all apprentices feel valued and supported.
Essential Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in finance or a related field (e.g. degree in finance accounting or business).
- Teaching qualification (such as a PGCE Cert Ed or equivalent) is essential.
- Strong understanding of the apprenticeship framework and the skills required within the financial industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver engaging and informative training sessions.
Desired Experience
- Previous experience as a tutor skills coach or in a teaching role specifically within financial education.
- Experience working with apprentices or in an educational environment.
- Familiarity with assessment processes and outcomes for apprenticeships.
- Knowledge of the regulatory and compliance landscape within the financial sector.
