The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) is 27 bed cardiac and medical critical care unit . We specialize in pre and post-operative cardiac cardiomyopathy patients requiring mechanical circulatory support as well as heart failure and post-MI cardiology patient IABP Swan-Ganz CRRT TTM DKA Pacemakers Severe Sepsis and Respiratory Failure.
Under the direction of the nurse manager Director or Executive Director the Charge Nurse/Nursing Supervisor provides an optimal environment and assists in overseeing and directing unit activities and personnel in order to ensure high quality patient care. Plans organizes controls and coordinates the department activities ensuring high quality patient care and efficient cost-effective service. Adheres to the ANA Nursing Administration: Scope and Standards of Practice.
