Job Description
Job Title: Windows/Azure Systems Architect
Onsite: FULLY ONSITE in Cape Coral FL
Assignment: 6 mon CTH
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Windows/Azure Systems Architect with Team Lead experience to design implement and manage enterprise-level IT infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Windows server engineering virtualization cloud platforms and endpoint management with a proven track record of leading technical teams to deliver robust scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture Design: Develop and maintain secure high-performance Windows and Azure-based infrastructure solutions tailored to business needs.
- Server Management: Oversee Windows Server environments ensuring optimal performance security and scalability through expertise in Group Policy DNS DHCP and Active Directory.
- Cloud Integration: Architect and manage Azure-based solutions including IaaS PaaS and hybrid cloud deployments ensuring seamless integration with on-premises systems.
- Virtualization: Design and implement virtualization solutions using VMware and manage backup/recovery processes with Veeam.
- Endpoint Management: Administer Microsoft 365 (O365) and Intune for device management security and compliance across the organization.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of systems engineers fostering collaboration driving project delivery and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational requirements.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex infrastructure issues and optimize systems for performance and cost efficiency.
- Documentation & Training: Create detailed technical documentation and provide training to team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in Windows server engineering and 3 years in a Team Lead or supervisory role.
- Technical Expertise:
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022) including Group Policy DNS and DHCP.
- Proficiency in Azure cloud services including Azure AD Virtual Machines and networking.
- Extensive experience with VMware vSphere and ESXi for virtualization.
- Expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication for data protection and disaster recovery.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (O365) administration including Exchange Teams and SharePoint.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and security.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams manage projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Certifications (preferred): Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert MCSE VMware VCP or equivalent.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills excellent communication and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST ISO 27001).
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and migrations.
