The position

As an Incident Commander at agap2 you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects over the years based on your experience and interests. Projects within industries such as Banking Fintech Telco Retail Sports and Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

As an Incident Commander you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and effective resolution of major incidents minimizing impact on customers and the business. Youll coordinate with internal teams and external international suppliers acting as the central point of contact during critical events.

Beyond incident management youll contribute to strategic initiatives that improve our processes enhance resilience and reinforce our core values across the organization.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 operations and ensure fast incident response.
  • Lead and manage major incidents ensuring timely resolution and transparent communication with all stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in incident problem and change management processes; mentor and support junior team members.
  • Facilitate Blameless Post Mortems and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to foster a learning culture.
  • Develop and automate tracking tools including dashboards and KPI reports.
  • Analyze incident data to identify patterns generate insights and propose proactive improvements.
  • Contribute to team initiatives aimed at enhancing business resilience and driving engineering excellence.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and resolution practices.

What You Bring

  • A technical higher professional education (HBO/WO) or equivalent hands-on experience preferably in Information Technology.
  • 24 years of relevant experience in incident management or similar roles.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders both technical and non-technical.
  • Experience working in high-pressure time-sensitive environments.
  • A self-starter with a proactive mindset and a natural ability to drive solutions.
  • Strong English communication skills; Dutch is a plus.
