Job Description

Minimum Qualifications
Assistant Professor: Earned Doctoral Degree or ABD in Rehabilitation Counseling Rehabilitation Counselor Education Rehabilitation Psychology Mental Health Counseling or closely related field from a CACREP accredited program. For those who have not graduated from a CACREP accredited program it is expected to have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for at least a full academic year before July 1st 2013. Associate Professor: Earned Doctoral Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling Rehabilitation Counselor Education Rehabilitation Psychology Mental Health Counseling or closely related field from a CACREP accredited program. For those who have not graduated from a CACREP accredited program it is expected to have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for at least a full academic year before July 1st 2013.

Preferred Qualifications
Assistant Professor: 1. Excellence in scholarly work demonstrated in terms of refereed publications. 2. Ability to secure external fundings demonstrated in terms of successful grantsmanship. 3. Graduate and Undergraduate level teaching experiences and clinical experience with diverse disability population in the field of rehabilitation counseling. 4. Excellence in leadership and advocacy relevant to rehabilitation counseling. 5. Clinical and teaching experience in counseling and counseling skill development including online/virtual formats. 6. Excellence in quantitative and qualitative methodology and statistical analyses used in the field of counseling. 7. Excellence will be evaluated relative to the ranking the candidate is applying for. Associate Professor: 1. Earned Doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Counseling Rehabilitation Counselor Education Rehabilitation Psychology Mental Health Counseling or closely related field from a CACREP Accredited program. 2. Excellence in scholarly work demonstrated in terms of refereed publications. 3. A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in the field of mental health rehabilitation counseling addictions counseling or a closely related field with at least 2 years in direct client service. 4. Evidence of the ability to conduct research and develop and implement a research agenda that includes scholarly activities such as authoring peer-reviewed publications and grant writing. 5. Ability to secure external fundings demonstrated in terms of successful grantsmanship. 6. Graduate level teaching experiences and clinical experience with diverse disability population in the field of rehabilitation counseling. 7. Excellence in leadership and advocacy relevant to rehabilitation counseling. 8. Clinical and teaching experience in counseling and counseling skill development including online/virtual formats. 9. Excellence in quantitative and qualitative methodology and statistical analyses used in the field of counseling. 10. Excellence will be evaluated relative to the ranking the candidate is applying for.
