This is how you WOW:
- Supervise and lead the B2B AR team to achieve performance and collection targets.
- Monitor and manage the accounts receivable aging reporting and drive prompt resolution of past-due accounts.
- Collaborate with sales customer service and credit teams to resolve invoice payment and credit discrepancies.
- Enforce company credit policies and recommend credit limits based on customer risk profiles.
- Conduct regular account reviews and establish collection strategies for delinquent accounts.
- Prepare and deliver AR performance reports and dashboards for senior management.
- Meeting with internal departments regarding account escalations for account resolution.
- Develop and mentor AR staff through performance feedback goal setting and training.
- Support internal audits with required documentation and reconciliations.
- Continuously improve AR processes through automation system optimization and best practices.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)
- Collection Effectiveness Index (CEI): Measure of collection performance relative to total collectible receivables.
- Days Sales Outstanding (DSO): Achieve and maintain DSO within target range.
- Aging percent current based on bucket criteria.
- Debtor Days and Best Possible Days Sales Outstanding metrics.
- Dispute Resolution Time: Average time to resolve invoice or payment disputes.
- Bad Debt Write-offs: Monitor and minimize uncollectible accounts.
- Average Days Delinquent Metrics
It would be WOW if you would bring this in:
- Education: Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field (required).
- Experience:
- 35 years of experience in B2B accounts receivable collections.
- 12 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in sales or buying account coordination
- Strong understanding of AR systems and ERP software (e.g. SAP S4HANA etc..).
- Experience in Google Desktop and data analysis proficiency.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced metric-driven environment.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in sales or buying account coordination
