Engineering Technician II / III
The City of Bishop Public Works Department is recruiting for the position of Engineering Technician II /III.
This position supports the planning development and delivery of small- to medium-scale public works projects with a focus on road maintenance permit administration procurement and consultant coordination. The position performs both technical and administrative work including infrastructure condition assessment quantity takeoffs cost estimating construction bid document preparation and coordination with consultants and contractors. This role increases the departments capacity to deliver pavement maintenance and minor capital improvement projects with limited staff resources.
Assignment level and duties will vary depending on qualifications and departmental needs. Higher classifications may include greater independence in project delivery grant management or contract oversight.

While performing the duties of this job the employee works in a typical office setting with constant temperatures. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
