We are looking for a Relief Primary School Teacher in the German Section for the German European School Singapore.
Starting Date: 01.08.2025
Als Vertretungslehrkraft ist Ihnen keine feste Wochenstundenzahl zugewiesen und Sie werden kurz- oder mittelfristig ber Einstze informiert. Diese knnen einzelne oder auch mehrere Unterrichtsstunden umfassen die ber eine Woche oder auch lnger verteilt sind.
As a relief teacher you are not assigned to a fixed teaching load and will be notified to come to GESS campus at short or medium-term could be for a matter of hours or for a series of lessons spread over a week or more.
Responsibilities
- Teaching a primary class (grade 1 to 5)
- Manage classroom behavior to optimize student learning
- Facilitate learning amongst a wide range of learners using an inquiry-based approach
- Assess record and report on student learning and progress through regular assessments where applicable
- Contribute to the development of the academic and pastoral curricula where applicable
- Attend meetings complete supervision duties participate in professional development where applicable
- Contribute to student life at GESS and be an active member of the school community
Requirements
- Recognized teaching qualification (2. Staatsexamen or equivalent recognized teaching qualification)
- Knowledge understanding or teaching experience of the German primary school curriculum
- Humorous and resilient personality with a satisfaction for teaching and educating young people
- Experience with teaching methods that lead to individualized learning (outdoor work weekly schedule Portfolio etc)
- Excellent German language skills (fluent) as you will be required to teach German speaking pupils. Good knowledge of English also required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Openness to participate in an international team
- Good computer skills and experience integrating new media into the class
Aufgaben
- Fachunterricht in der Grundschule (Klasse 1 bis 5)
- Leitung des Unterrichts um den Lernerfolg der Schlerinnen und Schlern zu optimieren
- Anwendung eines forschungsbasierten Lernansatzes
- eventuell Beobachtung Bewertung und Dokumentation der Lernfortschritte
- Engagement in der Schulentwicklung
- Gegebenenfalls Teilnahme an Meetings und Personalentwicklungsmanahmen sowie Ausfhrung von Aufsichten
- Aktive Teilnahme am Schulleben
Anforderungen
- Abgeschlossene Lehramtsausbildung fr das Grundschullehramt (2. Staatsexamen oder gleichwertig)
- Kenntnisse berund Erfahrung mit dem deutschen Grundschullehrplan
- Humorvolle und belastbare Persnlichkeit mit Freude am Unterrichten und Erziehen junger Menschen
- Erfahrung mit Unterrichtsmethoden die zum individualisierten Lernen fhren
- Flieende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse da die Unterrichtssprache Deutsch ist sowie gute Englischkenntnisse
- Fhigkeit zum eigenstndigen Arbeiten sowie fr die Arbeit im Team
- Aufgeschlossenheit zur Mitarbeit in einem internationalen Team
- Sichere Computerkenntnisse und Erfahrung in der Einbindung der neuen Medien in den Fachunterricht
