RESEARCH OFFICE

Senior Manager ()

The Research Office (RO)provides central administrative services and performs various roles spanning a broad range of areas including grants and funding schemes research ethics integrity and policy research committee research culture and infrastructure partnership and collaboration at the institutional level. The RO is now looking for a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager to lead and coordinate our core researchsupport functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan manage and evaluate internal and external research events showcases exhibitions and award schemes that enhance visibility of our scholars work;
  • Develop and maintain the Universitys research brand through strategic messaging special initiatives (e.g. incentive schemes) and premiums;
  • Lead a small team to design and execute innovative socialmedia campaigns and ensure up-to-date engaging research website content;
  • Compile analyse and report data and statistics on outreach activitiesmeasuring reach engagement and value-added impact to better inform the management;
  • Collaborate with other offices on 12 overseas roadshows and exhibitions per year; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A good bachelors degree with at least 7 years of relevant work experience in higher education sector or a related field;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • A strong sense of responsibility and a high level of IT literacy and good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude;
  • Proven experience in public relations and in writing editing and publishing in different media format;
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks efficiently and work under pressure to meet deadlines; and
  • Good understanding or experience in working with the media would be an advantage.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 2 years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and funding availability.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
