The San Bruno Public Works Department is committed to delivering responsive professional and efficient services that maintain and enhance the Citys infrastructure. With responsibility over streets storm drains wastewater collection water distribution public facilities and engineering the department is committed to providing responsive high-quality service and plays a vital role in keeping the city safe clean and functional.
Under immediate supervision part-time maintenance assistants perform a range of unskilled and semiskilled tasks that support the day-to-day upkeep of the Citys infrastructure. This is a part-time temporary position with the Public Works Department (18-20 hours per week) to support the Citys Cleanup San Bruno initiative.

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education experience and training that would provide the best qualified candidates. Applicants should have the ability to read write and carry out oral and written directions. Applicants should also have the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of proper use and care of common hand tools skills performing manual work and lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
