Franklin Templetons Alternatives capabilities are spread across c. $250bn in AUM and include private credit private equity real estate hedge fund solutions and venture capital strategies.
We are seeking a dynamic Head of Alternatives Wealth Business Development APAC reporting to both the Head of APAC and Head of Global Alternatives Wealth to join our fast-growing Alternatives Solutions team. Based in Singapore or Hong Kong the Head of Alternatives Wealth Business Development APAC will develop strategic plan for sales alongside the regional Sales teams to identify and address the Alternatives needs of Global & Regional Private Banks Retail Banks Platforms and Family Offices. He/she will enable sales relationship management education and enhance the overall client experience. Additional responsibilities will include ongoing interaction with Franklin Templeton (FT) senior management building and maintaining productive relationships with FT sales and support organizations.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position
Collaborate effectively with distribution marketing client service teams and Specialist Investment Managers (SIMs) to promote and expand our private markets range of strategies in the region.
Contribute to the development of strategic plans for Alternatives Solutions ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
Serve as a strategic advisor offering advanced expertise and insights on FT Alternatives capabilities to clients fostering strong and trusted relationships.
Support asset-raising efforts for each Alternatives product launch and play a key role in the fund selection and approval process.
Play a key role in driving ongoing Alternatives projects across Asia-Pacific including expanding into new regions and launching innovative products that meet market demands.
Collaborate with team leads on all aspects of onboarding ensuring seamless integration of both open-ended and closed-end fund offerings.
What qualifications skills and experience would help someone to be successful
Bachelors degree required MBA and/or CFA/CAIA preferred
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
In-depth experience and technical expertise in Asias private markets strategies
Deep understanding of key alternative asset classes
Proven track record in developing and implementing sales and marketing business plans.
Self-driven and highly motivated with a strong ability to contribute effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to build and manage key internal and external relationships
Experience with leading a team preferred
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Frequent travel required
