Are you an experienced Unix/Linux professional ready to take the next step in your career Join our team as a Medior Unix Specialist and help drive the stability security and innovation of our IT infrastructure!
Your role in our team
You will be responsible for daily technical operations and contribute to the stability security and performance of our infrastructure. Youll collaborate with colleagues in both project and operational settings and help further automate our IT landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration and Maintenance: Daily management of Unix/Linux systems (mainly Red Hat and Oracle Linux) using tools such as Ansible.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitoring systems with Zabbix and resolving technical issues.
Automation: Assisting in the development and improvement of automated management processes using Ansible.
Support: Providing technical support for incidents and changes within the Unix/Linux environment.
Documentation: Maintaining procedures installation guides and other technical documentation.
Project Work: Supporting IT projects such as system upgrades and new implementations.
Collaboration: Coordinating with colleagues from other IT teams to ensure smooth IT service delivery.
How you strengthen our team
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar Unix/Linux administration role.
- Proficiency in English both spoken and written.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Ansible for automation.
- Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Oracle Linux.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of GLPI Spacewalk/Uyuni.
- Proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
Education & Certification:
- MBO level or higher preferably in an IT field.
- Certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE are a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
