What will you do as a Control Software Engineer
Are you passionate about pioneering the future of autonomous heavy machinery As a Control Software Engineer youll craft cutting-edge control algorithms that bring life to massive machines think excavators cranes and bulldozers and ensure they operate autonomously with precision. From conceptualization in the lab to hands-on testing at construction sites youll be at the forefront of transforming the construction industry.
Your Role and Responsibilities - What Youll Do!
- Engineer the Future: Design and develop advanced controllers for machines operating under uncertain conditions.
- Master Complex Systems: Dive deep into system identification of intricate hydraulic systems.
- Drive Precision: Create motion planning algorithms tailored to specific tasks with a focus on collision avoidance.
- Simulate Success: Fine-tune and verify your controllers in high-fidelity simulators.
- Test in the Real World: Validate and optimize your solutions on actual machinery including occasional multi-day trips across Japan.
- Integrate Smart Solutions: Seamlessly interface your control algorithms with the core robotics system.
Experience and Qualifications - What You Bring!
- Technical Mastery: Proven experience in motion planning trajectory optimization control theory state estimation or optimal control.
- Educational Excellence: A Bachelors Masters or higher degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Computer Science Robotics or a related field.
- Collaborative Spirit: 2 years of experience thriving in a team-oriented development environment.
- Programming Prowess: Strong command of C and Python with hands-on experience in managing large codebases.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex ideas and collaborate effectively in dynamic environments.
- Global Perspective: Fluency in English is required.

- Industry Experience: Expertise in industrial robotics autonomous vehicles or hydraulic systems.
- Coding Excellence: Skills that consider computational performance maintainability and system safety.
- ROS2/ROS Savvy: Experience working with these critical robotic frameworks.
- Thought Leadership: Contributions to academic publications patents or open-source software.
- Certifications & Compliance: Familiarity with the certification process in automotive or aerospace industries.
- Agile Enthusiast: Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies particularly Scrum.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Japanese is a plus.

Salary
