Our client is a subsidiary of a leading manufacturer of organic rice-based in Chiang Rai. They produce pasta noodles and crackers from organic rice.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of QA Manager to join their team. This position will be based in Chiang Rai.
Job Description:
- Verifying and guaranteeing the quality of products or services to ensure confidence in the product.
- Verifying the quality inspection system to ensure that all products in the factory from raw material inspection to production and export consistently meet quality standards.
- Verifying documentation for quality control following standards such as GMP HACCP BRC and others.
- Organizing quality control staff according to assigned tasks.
- Tracing and resolving issues with products coordinating with involved parties and conducting annual return exam tests.
- Analyzing problems and defects related to products and raw materials.
- Coordinating with other departments when product issues arise.
- Verifying the inspection of glass and hard plastics including analysis quarantine and release. Reviewing layouts when plastic cups break.
- Planning controlling and setting appropriate inspection periods for the production process.
- Collaborating with various departments to organize annual training for employees.
- Verifying the performance of quality control personnel to ensure consistent product quality.
- Separating defective or waste products from good ones for customer delivery.
- Ensuring completeness and clarity of quality control recording systems.
- Verifying the control of production processes equipment installation and tools/services to ensure consistent production quality.
- Overseeing cleaning and maintenance of quality inspection tools and equipment.
- Controlling and verifying non-conforming products to prevent their accidental use.
- Working with other departments to evaluate and find solutions for customer complaints.
- Recording and analyzing statistical trends for defect prevention.
- Preparing and following up on product recall testing through marketing annually.
- Monitoring stress tests and customer satisfaction surveys yearly.
- Verifying the inspection of assembled products and containers.
- Verifying product shelf life and collaborating with R&D for testing.
- Evaluating and improving the efficiency of quality control personnel.
- Supervising subordinates and improving related work systems.
- Controlling and eliminating animal carriers in the factory and following up on pest control measures.
- Participating in the selection of culture media and reagents for lab tests.
- Participating in testing and analysis of sample results in the lab.
- Coordinating with external agencies (e.g. Certification Bodies) for certification (GMP HACCP BRC Gluten-Free).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Food Science or a related field.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in QA/QC in the food industry with over 5 years of management experience and the ability to analyze data and set up processes.
- Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and a service-minded approach.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Standards: GMP HACCP BRC Halal Kosher.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach teams.
- Positive cheerful service-minded proactive creative and solution-oriented.
- Good English communication skills are a must.
