We are looking for a Proposal Engineer to join a global technology leader in Lisbon Portugal!
This position focuses on translating customer requirements into high-quality fire safety technical solutions and ensuring seamless coordination from proposal through project handover. It offers a dynamic role within a fast-paced multinational environment and the opportunity to grow within a globally recognized industrial powerhouse.

What will you do
- Translate customer requirements into technical fire safety solutions using high-quality systems.
- Design and quote for fire alarm and evacuation system installations upgrades and expansions in complex facilities like hospitals hotels and industrial sites.
- Analyze technical feasibility of security solutions and collaborate with sales and execution teams to complete proposals.
- Seek innovative alternatives in non-standard cases in consultation with product managers.
- Collaborate with account managers and financial admins to create comprehensive proposals.
- Ensure accurate handover of approved projects to Project Managers and Software Engineers.
Candidate profile
- MBO diploma minimum with HBO working/thinking level in electrical or electronic engineering preferred.
- Experience in fire safety or security installations; certifications like BMI OAI or VOL VCA are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems; familiarity with extinguishing systems ASD or linear temperature detection is beneficial.
- Proficient in Dutch and English; capable with MS Word Excel Visio and basic network/software tools.
- Strong ownership analytical and conceptual thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure with a collaborative mindset.
