About the role
Were looking for an Office Manager to help keep our fast-growing Japan team humming along smoothly.
As our business expands in size scope and across borders we need someone super organised proactive and full of positive energy to make sure everything behind the scenes runs like a dream. Were passionate about creating amazing tech that changes the way customers use (and think about!) energy - all in the name of a greener planet. This is a great opportunity to play a hands-on role in Krakens growth help move us toward net zero and support the energy transition in Japan.
This is an office-based role - youll need to be able to commute to our Tokyo office 4 days a week.
What youll do
Be a primary Japan contact for our executives and team as well as clients and partners
Support travel and accommodation arrangements and queries
Help to organise host and run events both internally and externally including for clients and prospective clients
Plan promote and execute internal events - whether theyre local culturally specific celebrations or part of wider Kraken global initiatives.
Manage internal and external communication across emails and slack.
Develop and maintain our health and safety standards
Youll be responsible for preparing for new starters - including managing their equipment (whether theyre joining remotely or in-office) shipping gear as needed and keeping track of onsite tech inventory and stock levels.
Managing relationships with third parties such as cleaners suppliers and serviced building management
Managing our stock of branded merchandise both office levels and for external events
Create and maintain clear helpful office-related documentation and guides - including keeping our Notion pages up to date.
Youll have the opportunity to help out in other areas of the business (marketing recruitment payroll & accounting)
What youll need
A knack for juggling stakeholders - youre confident working with all kinds of people both inside and outside the company.
Some experience (or exposure) to health & safety processes - and bonus points if you hold the Japan National Class 2 Health & Safety Supervisor certification!
A love for planning and hosting events - whether its a team offsite or a last-minute lunch run you make it happen.
An organised methodical approach to getting things done - youre the kind of person who lives by checklists (and enjoys ticking them off).
The ability to wear multiple hats - you can handle lots of moving parts in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.
Fluency in English and native-level Japanese - youre comfortable switching between both without missing a beat.
