Who We Are

The Data Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining the scalable high-performance data infrastructure that powers Toasts analytical capabilities. Were a team of data enthusiasts who are passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive business insights and decision-making. Our focus is on creating data products for other Toasters to leverage and were looking for an enthusiastic engineer to realize that vision.

About this roll* (Responsibilities)

• Use the data infrastructure to build and deliver meaningful data to our customers
• Work closely with a small group of engineers across a broad spectrum of projects.
• Drive the evolution of our data architecture ensuring scalability reliability and maintainability
• Mentor and guide engineers fostering a culture of continuous improvement inclusivity and engineering excellence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes through data-driven insights
• Set a high bar for code quality testing and documentation ensuring our data solutions meet the highest standards
• Build and maintain strong partnerships across lines of business aligning technical solutions with strategic objectives
• Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow improve velocity and help pioneer new approaches to building - contributing to a culture of innovation and productivity across the team

Do you have the right ingredients* (Requirements)

• 2-3 years experience working with SQL on complex datasets is a must for this role
• 2-3 years experience of an application programming language such as Java Python Javascript.
• Experience working within the data analysis ecosystem on top of platforms such as Spark Iceberg Databricks or Snowflake.
• Knowledge of microservice based architecture operating at scale preferably in a cloud environment such as AWS.
• Experience with Java Groovy Kotlin or JVM-based language is a plus.
• Experience with Apache Iceberg Apache Druid Apache Flink is a plus.

**This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in our Dublin office**
