About GESS

Academic Coaching is an essential part of our comprehensive learning support concept at the German Section. Academic coaches support the student in many ways including filling in the gaps that exist in the learning process helping the student build self-confidence promoting interaction and ensuring the student stays focused in the classroom. The academic coach helps the student being prepared and organized for class enabling the student with the approaches for optimum learning.
You will support one (1) student with learning challenges like an autism spectrum disorder with learning needs or with an impairment of motor skills. This could also include support of students with learning needs in the area of German language. The support takes place within the class (integrative) or outside the class (additive). In general the following tasks are involved.
Die Schulbegleitung ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil unseres umfassenden Foerderkonzepts an der deutschen Sektion unserer Schule. Schulbegleitungen untersttzen den Schler/ die Schlerin in vielerlei Hinsicht einschlielich beim Fllen von Lernlcken beim Aufbau von Selbstvertrauen der Frderung von Interaktion und der Sicherstellung der norwendigen Konzentration im Klassenzimmer. Die Schulbegleitung hilft dem Schler/ der Schlerin den Unterricht vorzubereiten sich zu organisieren und ermglicht Anstze fr ein optimales Lernen.
Sie untersttzen eine/n (1) Schlerin/ Schler bei Lernherausforderungen wie einer Autismus-Spektrum-Strung bei Lernbedrfnissen oder bei einer Beeintrchtigung der motorischen Fhigkeiten. Dies knnte auch die Untersttzung von Studierenden mit Lernbedrfnissen im Bereich der deutschen Sprache umfassen. Die Untersttzung findet innerhalb der Klasse (integrativ) oder auerhalb der Klasse (additiv) statt. Im Allgemeinen handelt es sich um die folgenden Aufgaben.
