The Key Customer Lead is a strategic field role tasked with engaging key opinionleaders (KOLs) to advance Alexions brand strategy and to shape/cultivate the market. Focus for the role includes customer engagements scientific dialogue key account development support peer-to-peer influence and insight generation. S/he partners closely with internal stakeholders across Brand Marketing Sales Medical Affairs and other relevant functions to accomplish these business objectives.
You will be responsible for:
KOL Development Identify KOLs in the assigned therapeutic area based on deep understanding of brand and scientific strategy. Plan and orchestrate KOL engagements in close collaboration with Sales Marketing and Medical Affairs. Cultivate advocacy and partnerships with KOLs to advance the disease area.
Peer-to-Peer Advocacy Develop curriculum and contents for commercial speaker programs in alignment with brand strategy. Manage the commercial speaker bureau and lead the collaboration with speakers on specific programs. Support Sales and Marketing with program planning and execution.
Strategic Planning Support Gain deep insights from ongoing engagements with KOLs. Collaborate with Marketing to gain input from KOLs on specific strategic topics. Provide the voice of opinion leaders to help shape the business unit strategy and enable insights-driven decisions.
Market Development Support Support the development and activation of optimal treatment ecosystem within the assigned therapeutic area. Partner crossfunctionally to disseminate and leverage learnings on key account development.
You will need to have:
10 years of customer-facing experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
Significant experience working with KOLs and key accounts
Demonstrated expertise in design and/or execution of commercial speaker programs
Command of clinical contents and deep scientific dialogue with KOLs
Ability to form strong relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse set of internal and external stakeholders
Agility action orientation and growth mindset
Comfort with change and ambiguity
Strong engagement communication and relational skills
Passion for making a positive contribution to the rare disease community
Bachelors degree in science or other relevant areas
Fluency in Japanese proficiency in English
We would prefer for you to have:
Prior brand marketing and/or other home office roles
Experience leading cross-functional projects consisting of both field and home office members
Prior experience in rare disease
Prior experience in the therapeutic area and associated customers
Advanced scientific degree (e.g. MBA MS etc.
