About the role:
The Analytical Chemist Laboratory Technician will conduct chemical sampling and analysis of the products through the different production stages and in final package according to a sampling plan. They will be responsible for interpreting and reporting the analytical data.
If you are interested in joining we are now recruiting for a Lab Technician. Reporting to the Lab Manager this role will play a key part of our success journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:
Role Responsibilities:
Carry out general daily duties within the chemical lab including solution preparations and calibrations.
To ensure quality labs are kept in a high level of hygiene and 5S standards are maintained.
Recording data entry and reporting of analysis - producing weekly period and monthly reports.
Continually support the learning and development of team members in analytical methods equipment maintenance and interpretation of results as required.
Take samples and analyse according to the sample plan using various techniques including spectrophotometry chromatography titration and to include the use of Anton Paar and Gallery beer analysers.
Responsible for COSHH and Risk Assessment for the laboratory area and any purchasing and stock control.
To monitor all analysis results and work with the Quality Assurance Specialist to lead trouble shooting and investigations in production.
Ensure compliance with Brewing proficiency scheme.
Experience and Key Attributes:
Science degree to include Chemistry and/or extensive experience within an analytical laboratory.
Experience with use of Gas Chromatography and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography is essential for this role.
Self-motivated with strong organisational skills.
IT literate SAP knowledge preferred but not essential.
Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
Confident working independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and motivated with a strong focus on Continuous Improvement.
Analytical thinking and problem solving.
