As a Design and Verification Senior Engineer you will be part of an innovative team working on the development of advanced RF and microwave ICs. You will take on key responsibilities in design verification and validation of research results.
Design RF and Microwave Analog / AMS circuits using advanced sub-micrometer technologies.
Create and execute verification plans at block- and module-level (e.g. TX channel).
Model the Analog Circuits for Module and Chip-Top/SoC verification.
Ensure functionality and performance of fabricated silicon through definition & execution of laboratory measurement campaigns.
Lead research projects and support larger European-level initiatives.
Represent the SAL Project Team internally and externally maintaining contact with partners and customers.
Your profile
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Informatics or a related field (PhD is a plus).
At least 5 years of industrial experience in Analog-AMS IC Design and Verification in the RF/microwave frequency range.
Hands-on experience of Analog/RF Layout in CMOS / SOI technology nodes; familiarity with DfM / DfT methodologies.
Hands-on experience of Analog and Mixed-Mode Verification and of Analog/AMS Circuit Modelling (Verilog/SV wreal).
Experience in PCB and wafer-level measurements for baseband and RF/mmWave frequencies.
Proficient in commercial design tools (e.g. Cadence Synopsys); familiarity with open-source tools is a plus.
Interest in expanding your focus to research and project management.
Excellent written and spoken English; German is a plus
Self-driven mentality excellent communication and presentation skills.

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group E (E3 salary EUR 4.281- paid 14 times a year) based on 385 hours per week).
