Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilledMachine Operator/Helperto join our Tulsa team. This position is responsible for assisting with the setup operation monitoring and troubleshooting of machinery used to process coil steel into flat sheets and cut them to specific lengths for the manufacturing of steel tubes. TheMachine Operator/Helperplays an essential role in ensuring quality production supporting team operations and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Performpre-operation checksto ensure proper equipment startup and operation.
Assist withgeneral labor dutiesin all shop areas as needed.
Operate and monitormultiple machinesduring production to ensure quality and minimize unplanned stops.
Communicate with team members and support teams to maintaincontinuous productionand minimize wasted materials.
Move material usingforklift and overhead crane operationsafely and efficiently.
Comply with allsafety and health regulations.
Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
Supportcontinuous improvement initiativesby following standardized work practices.
TheMachine Operator/Helpermay also perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must bedetail-orientedwith a strong understanding ofproduction and plant processes.
Ability to useprecision measuring toolsand perform mathematical calculations (add subtract multiply divide).
Able to followwritten and oral instructionsand work effectively in a team.
Capable of liftingheavy equipment bending standing and walking for long periods.
Willingness to workflexible schedules including overtime weekends and varying shifts.
Physical Requirements
Ability tostand walk stoop kneel crouch or crawlas needed.
Must be able tofrequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Specific vision abilities includeclose vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and focus adjustment.
Exposure tomoving mechanical partsand occasional hot cold wet or humid conditions.
Work environment noise levels are typicallyloud.
