You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailJoin our team in Rochester MN as an Assistant Project Manager and become a vital part of our project this role youll work directly with our experienced project management team to support all phases of our construction projects. Youll gain hands-on experience with everything from day-to-day project-related tasks to planning scheduling and financial management. This is the ideal role for a motivated problem-solver who wants to learn and grow within a safety-focused environment.
Collaborate with project team to plan setup and manage construction projects.
Navigate and use Egans project management systems and processes including Milestone Based Delivery (MBD).
Promotes a positive safety culture by ensuring Egans safety policies and goals are communicated and followed on assigned projects.
Participate in construction document analysis to develop clear and consistent interpretations.
Become familiar with the materials equipment and components of the technical systems installed by Egans trades.
Advise project management of potential problems work interferences schedule difficulties and the like as it relates to assigned duties. Learn how Egan can circumvent and/or resolve such problems.
Compose and edit letters memos reports and procedures; assist with change orders project billings and change request pricing.
Process day-to-day administrative items (i.e. supply requisitions RFIs submittals shop drawings procurement take-offs etc.) as directed.
Prepare special reports studies and statistical analysis per supervisors request. May require research development and/or interpretation of data with little supervision or instruction.
Learn how to interpret project schedules anticipate manpower requirements and measure subcontractor performance.
Assist with the research and preparation of field change requests to resolve design issues.
Participate in the continuous updating and accurate generation of as-built documents.
Attend project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as directed.
Assume a proactive approach to career development. Utilize available resources within Egan as well as request alternative instruction to learn how to become a successful project manager.
Solicit and review project submittals; coordinate with project manager and purchasing.
Build strong internal partnerships; work collaboratively with other Egan groups to support Egans Mission Vision and Values.
Use basic understanding of financials and reporting to support a PM in related responsibilities.
Perform additional duties and assignments as requested/needed.
2-year associates degree or Bachelors degree (or equivalent level of technical training and related construction experience).
0-2 years of construction and/or general business experience.
Travel to jobsites and client sites may be required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Passion for the industry.
Outstanding organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities.
Courteous professional diplomatic and highly motivated.
Anticipates and adjusts to changing priorities and methods; willingly takes on new tasks and challenges.
Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks and learn new things.
Excellent MS Office and Google Suite skills and ability/desire to learn new software systems.
Must obtain OSHA-30 certification within six (6) months from date of hire (if not already certified).
Working Conditions
Performance of duties will mostly be in an office environment with visits to job sites as needed.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Exposure to loud noise dirt and exposure to the elements.
Climbing ladders/stairs uneven ground bending kneeling and twisting are frequent needs.

Salary Range: $49392-$61740 (subject to such factors as experience education and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
