Work location:Trumbull CT

Scope:

Support supply of direct materials across assigned value streams and/or suppliers to support manufacturing operations in Trumbull with Production R&D Supplier Quality Warehouse and Planning to support activities of new material implementation resolving supplier quality issues maintaining material deliveries for planned production as well as receiving materials into the inventory.



Responsibilities
  1. Procure all related materials to support the production schedule via the ERP system. Create purchase orders communicate and negotiate with suppliers to insure favorable pricing and delivery.
  2. Consistently drive negative PPV negotiate local pricing; support Strategic Sourcing in global pricing agreements and volume contracts.
  3. Partner with Production Planners to coordinate incoming material to support production needs and communicate information on material availability. Partner with Quality Team and Engineering Teams to resolve material related changes and issues.
  4. Manage local Suppliers for assigned Value Streams
  5. Maintain open communication with Production Managers and Supply Chain Management to ensure manufacturing and inventory plans are clearly understood and fulfilled.
  6. Lead contact within the value stream for issues relating to manufacturing and inventory plans; support local inventory maintenance and reduction goals.
  7. Support Receiving Department in resolving receiving issues in terms of quantity unit of measure or shipping issues.
  8. Support the Accounts Payable Department in resolving invoice issues.
  9. Manage FG inventory levels and ensure alignment with Safety Stock and Average Safety stock levels for all levels of inventory
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation for history and audit purposes.
  11. Prepare review and publish monthly and/or weekly reports as directed by management.
  12. Ensure processes are completed in accordance with Quality and Business System requirements.
  13. Perform additional duties and assignments as directed by management.


Qualifications
  1. Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics D365 ERP system preferred.
  2. Bachelors degree in business Supply Management or an equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.
  3. Three to five years materials/planning/procurement experience preferred.
  4. Electro-mechanical healthcare FDA regulated environment purchasing background preferred.
  5. Strong negotiation written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally (by phone in person) and in writing with all levels of management
  7. Strong ability to be part of a team combined with the ability to multitask and adapt to change.
  8. Strong problem solving team building and decision-making skills.
  9. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and Access.
  10. APICS Certification preferred.
