Job Description

Job Title: Infant Lead Teacher
Location: Little Duckling Daycare 2

Position Overview:
Little Duckling Daycare 2 is seeking a caring patient and dedicated Infant Lead Teacher to join our team. The Infant Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe nurturing and engaging environment for infants (6 weeks to 18 months). This role requires strong communication skills a passion for early childhood development and the ability to partner with families to support each childs growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe loving and developmentally appropriate environment for infants.

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage physical emotional cognitive and social development.

  • Establish consistent routines for feeding diapering and napping that meet the needs of each child.

  • Maintain a clean organized and welcoming classroom environment.

  • Observe document and assess childrens growth and development sharing progress with families regularly.

  • Communicate effectively with parents caregivers and colleagues to foster trust and strong partnerships.

  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations health and safety standards.

  • Supervise and guide assistant teachers or aides within the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors in Early Childhood Education preferred).

  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or willingness to obtain.

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting.

  • Knowledge of infant development and best practices in early childhood education.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before starting).

  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

  • Genuine love for working with infants and supporting their development.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-time position MondayFriday.
