Job Description
Job Title: Infant Lead Teacher
Location: Little Duckling Daycare 2
Position Overview:
Little Duckling Daycare 2 is seeking a caring patient and dedicated Infant Lead Teacher to join our team. The Infant Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe nurturing and engaging environment for infants (6 weeks to 18 months). This role requires strong communication skills a passion for early childhood development and the ability to partner with families to support each childs growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a safe loving and developmentally appropriate environment for infants.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage physical emotional cognitive and social development.
Establish consistent routines for feeding diapering and napping that meet the needs of each child.
Maintain a clean organized and welcoming classroom environment.
Observe document and assess childrens growth and development sharing progress with families regularly.
Communicate effectively with parents caregivers and colleagues to foster trust and strong partnerships.
Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations health and safety standards.
Supervise and guide assistant teachers or aides within the classroom.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors in Early Childhood Education preferred).
CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or willingness to obtain.
Minimum of 12 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting.
Knowledge of infant development and best practices in early childhood education.
CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before starting).
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Genuine love for working with infants and supporting their development.
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time position MondayFriday.
