About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical and Control Systems Engineer to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for delivering safe reliable and cost-effective electrical control and telemetry designs in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate load flow short circuit and Arc-Flash reports using the Easy Power modeling tool.
  • Design electrical and control systems for gas distribution systems and compressor stations.
  • Provide technical input for electrical instrumentation and control systems focusing on commissioning and operation. Identify and optimize factors affecting throughput costs reliability and risks to equipment personnel and the environment.
  • Lead engineering assessments capital and maintenance project designs.
  • Support and lead engineering tasks for integration initiatives within the team and broader business optimizing engineering and operations including content management.
  • Coordinate with Stations and Low Carbon Transition Engineering groups for design requirements and reviews.
  • Actively participate in risk review asset management review sessions and various industry activities.
  • Lead responses to requests for changes submitted by stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with Electrical Control and Energy Systems Gas Control Regional Operations Construction System Improvement and other partners.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (PEO) or eligible to become a member.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related technical work experience in the design of electrical or control systems.
  • 2 years of work experience in power system modeling is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word Excel MS Project and Outlook.
  • Strong capability to work effectively with clients and vendors without compromising the companys business focus and ethics.
  • Awareness of applicable industry codes standards and best practices.
  • Strong organizational planning negotiating and leadership skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Some travel is required for this role (20%) within Ontario.
  • A valid G License and drivers abstract are needed.
