Senior C Developer E-Trading Software Capital Markets
EC1 Partners are working with a leading E-Trading software provider seeking aSenior C Developerto join their high-performing engineering team. This role suits a hands-on developer with strong technical expertise in building performant systems for the front office in institutional finance.
Youll work on designing and developing cutting-edge low-latency trading solutions and infrastructure that directly support institutional clients. A background in capital markets electronic trading or financial services is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain high-performance low-latency trading platforms using modern C
Contribute to the development of algorithmic trading systems and large-scale analytics engines
Analyse and optimise existing software to improve scalability reliability and performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and components efficiently
Participate in architectural discussions and technical design processes
Qualifications/Skills:
Strong experience with modern C (C14/17/20) with 5 years of hands-on development
Solid understanding of multithreading memory management and performance tuning
Experience building real-time trading or capital markets systems
Familiarity with low-latency high-throughput applications
Experience with Linux systems and associated toolchains
Strong understanding of software design patterns and system architecture
Effective communicator with the ability to work closely with both technical and business teams
Experience with financial markets particularly FX is a plus
Knowledge of EMS/OMS platforms is an advantage
