The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) stands as a flagship Chinese medicine (CM) institution dedicated to advancing Chinese medicine in Hong Kong and is expected to commence operation in phases at the end of 2025.
Established through a public-private partnership the hospital is being constructed by the government with HKBU appointed as the contractor in June 2021 through a tendering process. Subsequently HKBU registered HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited as the operator in accordance with the requirements of the service deed which is responsible for the management operation and maintenance of CMHHK.
A hallmark of CMHHK is its integrated approach blending Chinese and Western medicine to provide professional patient care. CMHHK will actively engage in various interactions and collaborate with the industry to promote the development of Chinese medicine across Hong Kong the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and international institutions. By sharing resources and expertise CMHHK aims to advance the standardisation and globalisation of Chinese medicine opening new directions for future healthcare services.

Assistant Building Service Inspector ()
Responsibilities:
- Plan arrange and supervise the overhaul maintenance replacement project works fault and emergency call for the following plants system and equipment:
- Heating Ventilation and Air-conditioning system
- Steam hot water system
- Medical gas system
- Fire services installation
- Fresh water supply flush water supply pumping and drainage system
- Communications PABX 5G/4G mobile phone system CMMS AMS and Building Management system etc.
- Electrical supply / distribution system and emergency generators
- Medical equipment
- Lifts and other building service installations
- Prepare planned and preventive facility maintenance schedules and the procurement of spare parts with store management for the above plants and equipment;
- Assist in drafting and vetting of the specifications for the tender and maintenance contract for the above plants and equipment;
- Arrange supervise and manage various shift duty facility teams for the daily operation of the electrical system steam boilers medic algas plant air-conditioning plant and other E&M plants and building services installations;
- Assist in managing minor works projects in the hospital;
- Provide technical and engineering support on the planning co-ordination site progress monitoring and management of minor works projects in the hospital;
- Liaise with users contractors work agents consultants and other parties on matters relating to users requirements access disturbance programme cost etc. for improvement replacement maintenance and renovation works;
- Monitor the standard of materials and workmanship against the contract requirements and other recognised standards;
- Attend and witness for the testing & commissioning works on installations and the above plants and equipment;
- Attend meetings with other departments / parties on behalf of Facility Management Office;
- Supervise all technical staff to assure an acceptable standard of performance and quality of services;
- Coordinate & monitor works safety and Occupational Safety & Health of the Workplace;
- Maintain and update the drawings and data of buildings and facilities for estate and space management; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.
Requirements:
- (a) A diploma or higher certificate in Building Services Engineering Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering plus 4 years relevant experience in major building services engineering works and electrical & mechanical (E&M) maintenance works; or
- (b) A certificate in Building Services Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering from a recognised institute plus 6 years relevant experience in major building services engineering works and E&M maintenance works; or
- (c) Minimum of 4 years of hospital working experience in plumbing & drainages services works small machinery control etc.;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office including both Chinese and English word processing Excel PowerPoint etc.;
- Able to work independently and under pressure; and
- Good communication skills with strong teamwork spirit.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract by Hong Kong Baptist University. Following the commencement of CMH and subject to the candidates satisfactory performance and the decision of CMH subsequent appointment will be offered directly by CMH.
