Department	African American Studies Institute of Black Intellectual Innovation (IBII)
Work Schedule	20 hours per week during the Fall 2025 semester
Job Summary	Institute of Black Intellectual Innovation (IBII) at California State University Fullerton (CSUF) is a cross-campus and community-minded initiative to expose all students to Black culture creative arts and intellectual history at CSUF and throughout Orange County. Currently we are seeking a Student Assistant with Federal Work Study to provide administrative support for IBII. The Student Assistant plays a vital role in promoting the mission of CSUF and IBII throughout Orange County. Under general supervision the SA is required to perform administrative support for IBII such as: answering phones greeting visitors scanning and uploading documents maintaining spreadsheets maintaining social media platforms and maintaining IBIIs website.
Minimum Qualifications	Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty staff and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Required Qualifications	Required Qualifications: The Student Assistant must be an active student at CSUF with a Federal Work Study award for Fall 2025 with good academic status. Proficiency in basic clerical skills Basic knowledge of computers and efficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a respectful helpful and friendly tone Organizational skills Maintain a neat appearance and positive attitude May require the ability to lift/pull/carry up to 25lbs of supplies materials and/or equipment over long and short distances Preferred Qualifications: Experience with creating websites
