Job Summary:
The purpose of this role is to manage the Londons resource footprint across Hong Kong and China (Shenzhen) locations. Including the build out and growth of our mainland China resources.
Lastly it is to work closely with our HKEX management team in region to make sure we are maximizing the value from technology and practice reuse perspective.
Job Duties:
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building out the mainland China footprint including which products should be built and owned there
- Managing the development teams from a senior management/technical direction perspective in region
- Define the London Asia tech strategy within the global London project strategy and the wider HKEX Group strategy
- Work closely with the senior executives in Hong Kong and China
- Create bi-directional technical and process knowledge sharing
- Implement the Asia-side follow the sun support model for our critical applications
- Create and nurture a talent pipeline for our Asia footprint
- Optimize our ways-of-working to create a logical single global office spanning timezones
- Create a culture of single global team
- Apply continuous improvement practices in engineering and resource management
- Create a community of highly empowered highly capable engineer
Academic and Professional Qualifications Required:
- Preferred - Bachelors or Masters Degree (Computer Science or Related Degree Maths or Physics also considered)
Required Knowledge and Level of Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science IT or related disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years experience in software development
- Experience in developing highly motivated highly capable technical organizations
- Experience in continuous improvement Agile working in heavily regulated high volume low latency platforms
- Experience of running an APAC engineering organization
