Description of Work
This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.
Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. This temporary position is located in Charlotte - Mecklenburg County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 5501 Executive Center Dr Suite 101 Charlotte NC 28212.The primary purpose of this position is to serve those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or other disabilities who presently work in non-CIE settings i.e. ADVPs are considering employment in the community or opting not to pursue employment due to functional limitations and presumed lack of community resources and support. Will collaborate directly with individuals with IDD their community support guardian and agencies in the community to access resources and information to help them achieve their goals. Will be a primary bridge between CIE Outreach Transition services DHHS Vocational Rehabilitation community-based resources and advocacy groups to achieve CIE goals.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in a field relative to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related work experience preferably with the client population; or
