Givens Estates is looking for a full-time Life Enrichment Director to join our team! Our philosophy of vibrant aging is rooted in the belief that staying active and fully engaged in life improves ones quality of life. The Life Enrichment Director will lead plan develop and implement a holistic wellness program that enhances the quality of life for our residents focusing on the seven dimensions of wellness: emotional vocational physical spiritual intellectual social and environmental. Youll work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that all residentsfrom Independent Living to Skilled Nursinghave a variety of engaging opportunities to support their wellness journey.
What youll do:
- Lead and create a collaborative team environment with social services wellness and programming departments to enhance the resident experience across the community.
- Ensure residents have access to innovative creative and diverse programs that balance the seven dimensions of wellness across all levels of care.
- Develop offsite and overnight events and trips for residents while coordinating transportation needs.
- Manage train and support Life Enrichment staff volunteers and ensure proper documentation of resident care needs.
- Work closely with the Health Services Director to ensure the psychosocial and wellness needs of residents in Health Services are met in accordance with regulations.
- Prepare and manage the Life Enrichment departments annual operating budget.
- Keep up-to-date with research and best practices in wellness and programming for older adults.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Executive Director and ensure compliance with Givens policies and procedures.
What youll need:
- A bachelors degree in gerontology health promotion exercise physiology music therapy art therapy recreational therapy or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in managing wellness social services or life enrichment programs.
- Previous experience working with older adults in a life plan community or healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
- Creativity and event planning experience to develop dynamic engaging programs.
- Valid NC Drivers License with a clear driving record.
