Job Description

Stoneleigh-Burnham School an independent boarding and day school for girls in grades 7-12/PG in Greenfield Massachusetts seeks aMarketing and CommunicationsCoordinatoreffective immediately.

Located near the Connecticut River in the Pioneer Valley a short drive from the Five College Consortium (UMass Amherst Smith Mount Holyoke Hampshire and Amherst College) Stoneleigh-Burnham School attracts students from the local area and around the world. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management the Marketing and Communications Coordinator ensures that all School communications reflect the mission core values history and reputation of the school. TheMarketing and Communications Coordinatoris responsible for coordination of external and internal marketing and communication initiatives including online presence inbound and outbound marketing print and electronic publications public relations and advertising. The coordinator helps to create and implement strategic marketing initiatives and manages projects vendors and related budgets.

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator works with all members of the school community to ensure consistency of message and strong brand representation in all communications. The role requires a strong understanding of the Schools culture and sensitivity to the perspectives of its key constituencies. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator works closely with the Advancement/Development Office & Alumnae Relations Enrollment Management and the Equestrian Center as well as other department heads. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator also oversees outsourced work with associated contractors and vendors. The Coordinator will assume the following primary responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and update content on the Schools website as well as work on SEO and social media

Understand the importance of a digital marketing campaign and implement strategies for the School

Seek to advance the Schools profile in the wider world and in the community

Be aware of new technologies and apps that will help the School reach prospective students and families and be willing to implement those strategies

Coordinate comprehensive marketing plans to reach varied constituencies and promote the schools brand identity.

Create and implement effective digital marketing campaigns to enhance the schools online presence through the website/other channels and reach a wider audience.

Collaborate with the admissions department to create and implement recruitment strategies increase enrollment retain current students open house events and campus visits for prospective students and their families.

Work with the Advancement Office team to communicate fundraising campaigns and donor engagement initiatives that align with the schools strategic plans.

Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote academic and co-curricular programs achievements alumnae engagementand other school events.

Assist with the analysis and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns including enrollment and fundraising data to inform future marketing decisions.

Coordinate the process of producing publications including coordination of editorial needs ensuring efficient review and approval of work submission to vendors and proper distribution if applicable

Ensure that all print and digital materials adhere to brand standards

Manage the production of materials including coordination with outside vendors (web hosts photographers printers mail services) quality control compliance to school and industry standards and expense control

Manage department budget

Serve as editor of the Schools alumnae magazine The Bulletin

Manage writing projects including press releases collateral materials for Admissions and Advancement/Alumnae Relations and news for print and electronic communications

Serve on the Administrative Team and work strategically with the administrative team to be proactive about marketing opportunities

Qualities and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field

3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in an educational setting

Interest in building a strong online (social media focus) and local presence and helping create improved outreach to alumnae parents and prospective families

Demonstrated project management capacity

Experience managing a budget

Appreciation for the value of an all-girls education

Attention to detail to complete multiple projects on schedule and collaboratively

Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends for school events

Demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing for a wide variety of purposes including magazines newsletters websites press releases social media admissions and development campaigns and advertising copy

Demonstrated commitment to diversity equity and inclusion
