Job Summary:
A career in our Analytics Data Assurance practice within the Risk and Regulatory vertical of Advisory practice offers a unique opportunity to work with clients on internal audit testing and the development of analytics and technology this role you will help clients detect monitor and predict risk while also assisting business leaders in solving business problems using data analytics tools and technologies. Additionally you will play a crucial role in growing the practice in various US markets by building professional relationships and effectively communicating with stakeholders
Job Description:
As a Manager youll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Provide technology consulting solutions to our clients leveraging your strong background in technology and data analysis.
- Conduct control testing in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Collaborate with global teams actively participating in calls asking relevant questions and providing status reporting to different stakeholders
- Develop a deep understanding of the business problem
- Lead a team of 3-4 individuals providing guidance mentoring and support while also becoming the subject matter expert (SME) in at least two technologies
- Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of our clients systems processes and controls to ensure compliance identify risks and provide recommendations for improvement
- Stay up to date with industry trends emerging technologies and regulatory requirements to continuously improve technology consulting methodologies and practices
General:
- Strong understanding of business processes operations and risk management concepts
- Ability to participate in business process walkthroughs understand a process ask relevant questions and create flowcharts to represent business process understanding
- Ability to manage project budgets and resourcing effectively. Capture and communicate changes to the scope/requirement
- Experience in project scoping project budgeting and ongoing budget management including capturing and communicating project scope changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of business processes objectives and risks
- Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control testing including knowledge of ITAC ITGCs and IPEs
- Strong interest and willingness to continuously learn and apply new technologies in an internal audit setting
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Familiarity with internal audit standards and best practices is highly desirable
Skills:
Must Have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in programming languages used in platform architecture designs such as Python (must have) and Kotlin (good to have). Ability to understand multiple scripting languages
- Proficient in working with Snowflake or similar SQL database. Ability to design and optimize data models load and transform data and write efficient queries in Snowflake
- Ability to participate in business process walkthrough understand a process ask relevant questions and create flowcharts to represent business process understanding.
- Ability to drive collaborations and interactions with key stakeholders including accounting data infrastructure data engineering and platform engineering groups to align on risks and/or approach as well as issues and recommendations
- Understanding of the technology companys business processes and how they relate to the overall infrastructure.
- Project experience on any ETL and/or data visualization tools like - Alteryx Tableau or Power BI
- Good communications skills- stakeholder management status reporting experiences
Good to Have:
- Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or similar
- Knowledge of internal audit procedures and compliance requirements. Ability to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of controls and identify any gaps or deficiencies. Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and audit documentation standards
- Knowledge and understanding of the technology companys infrastructure including distributed database systems and their functioning
- Proficiency in understanding the design of microservices architecture including the use of containerization technologies. Knowledge of how microservices interact and communicate with each other within the platform
- Understanding of Kafka and its role in building data pipelines. Knowledge of how to configure manage and troubleshoot Kafka clusters
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Knowledge of deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms including scalability security and cost optimization considerations
- Proficiency in using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI/CD. Knowledge of automating software build testing and deployment processes. Understanding of version control systems and best practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment
