POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Manufacturing Production Tech you will work with Manufacturing Engineers to plan direct and coordinate manufacturing processes in a manufacturing plant by performing the duties below. Must be functionally familiar with ERP systems and able to read and interpret engineering drawings and other technical documentation.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manufacturing Engineering Technician II:
- Updates existing SOEs (Sequence of Events) through working with a Manufacturing Engineer and the shop
- Updates existing Work Instructions through working with a Manufacturing Engineer and the shop
- Updates existing Quality Checklists through working with a Manufacturing Engineer and the shop
- Participates in Time studies and VSM (Value Stream Maps) including follow up activities as needed to document and drive improvement
- Conduct ECO Drawing reviews to ensure the change is manufacturable and cost effective
- ECO approval for shop ECOs ensuring the implementation covers the impact of inventory and work in progress as well as where used items tooling CAM Programming etc.
- Address the route review requests through interacting with the shop and/or a Manufacturing Engineer
- On weekly basis runs the Overall Statistical Router Review Report and addresses the largest variance items through processing route changes.
- Participates in design reviews

Education and/or Experience:
- Manufacturing Engineering Technician II: 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Capable of using Word Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to communicate with others at all levels
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in team meetings and with other employees and customers.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to work with mathematical fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
