The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for aTier II Network Technicianto support global enterprise networks. Our team is completely replacing a global enterprise network while providing design engineering and transition for a wide range of customer network requirements. This is a unique and rare opportunity to build and transition critical operations to a modern service provider network architecture.
The job duties of the Tier II Network Technician are as follows:
The Tier II network field technician will support the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices.
Respond to and resolve incidents demonstrate troubleshooting skills and communicate with the team.
Complete assigned tasks within Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs).
Draft and implement standard network change requests.
Provide support to senior network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys TEMS install/de-installs).
Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings ensure asset management records are accurate and conduct inventory.
Coordinate network operations maintenance repairs or upgrades. (Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process).
Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6 SM/MM Fiber Serial cables SFP).
Layer 2 network experience (ability to configure/troubleshoot switches/routers spanning tree MAC addresses VLANs port security applying thin and thick configs).
Layer 3 network experience (subnetting familiar with protocols such as OSPF BGP HSRP MPLS LSP GRE).
Perform IOS upgrades for Cisco Juniper Brocade and Foundry OS.
Experience with Visio.
Familiar with ServiceNow and Confluence.
May have up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities based on site and team needs.
Requirements
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years masters and 4 years bachelors and 6 years associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years.
Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
Available to travel up to 20% of the time.
In order to be considered for this position you must have a valid drivers license acceptable driving record and be eligible to drive an AT&T company car.
Available to work flexible hours to include weekend support.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
