ARSIEM is looking for a self-starting motivated individual to be the Lead Information System Security Officer supporting the Joint Activities Integration Division with maintaining compliance and strengthening the security posture of critical mission systems and their System Security Plans (SSPs) via the Risk Management Framework. This position will support one of our government clients in Laurel MD.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for information systems.
- Support continuous network monitoring to detect and correct areas of security non-compliance unmitigated vulnerabilities and other risks.
- Follow consistent security processes and play a role in the information systems continuous monitoring program.
- Perform regular audits of information systems.
- Assist the information systems security manager in preparing the information system for periodic reaccreditation
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience as an ISSO with emphasis on Defense-in-Depth principles network and enterprise security architecture.
- Experience applying the principles of the NIST 800-53 including the procedures in the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Familiarity with STE/STN requirements
- Bachelors degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or Masters degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
- An Associates degree or 18 semesters of hours of military coursework/training in a computer-related field plus 10 years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Tier 1 certification.

$148000 - $166000 a year
The ARSIEM pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) job responsibilities education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other laws.

Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active TS/SCI with a polygraph. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
Candidate Referral: Do you know someone who would be GREAT at this role If you do ARSIEM has a way for you to earn a bonus through our referral program for persons presenting NEW (not in our resume database) candidates who are successfully placed on one of our projects. The bonus for this position is $5000 and the referrer is eligible to receive the sum for any applicant we can place within 12 months of referral. The bonus is paid after the referred employee reaches six months of employment.
