DescriptionAs a Product Test Technician in the Fluke Microcircuits Organization (FMO) Team you will become responsible for performing several specialized assembly and process related tasks involved with manufacturing wire wound resistors hybrid electronic assemblies and high precision resistor networks.
Job Overview:
FMO Product Test Technician performs manual and machine assisted assembly procedures to build and verify distinct types of sub-assemblies and components that are used primarily by internal customers who in turn assemble and sell sophisticated high quality precision test tools to various industries.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare process wind clean assemble calibrate test solder and inspect several types of small assemblies.
- Work from prints drawings method sheets diagrams or other specifications in accordance with established assembly procedures.
- Set-up and operate production equipment to support production goals.
- Collect analyze and report data from production processes apply basic mathematical and statistical knowledge to collected data to monitor productivity and quality measures.
- Participate in Fortive Business System processes and activities as assigned.
- Prepare hazardous process solutions (concentrated acids/bases strong oxidizers transdermal hazards) for processing materials.
- Support the development and maintain processes of physical vapor deposition tools like sputterers and magnetron sputterers.
- Setup maintain and optimize processing of materials using lithography and photolithography.
Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent communication verbal and written text and drawings to perform tasks and clearly laisse with engineering and management as equipment / production problems arise.
- Able to match-up colors.
- Strong Mathematical proficiency and extreme attention to detail

- Confidently use a windows-based PC - Web browser email basic word and excel operations.

- Able to multi-task without becoming overwhelmed. (Running multiple operations / pieces of equipment in the cell)
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Processes require soldering electronic components.
- Cotton jackets are required and provided in the soldering process.
- Position may require occasional lifting (< 20 lbs.)
- Safety glasses are required. If prescription glasses are worn Fluke will provide safety glasses that fit over the candidates own glasses.
- Repetitive use of upper extremities especially fine hand movements
- Working within a laboratory setting with a specialized focus on chemistry
Basic Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
- Normally receives little instruction on daily work.
- General instructions on newly introduced assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical associate degree or graduate of a technical school or equivalent.
