Controlling Analyst your future opportunity
As a Controlling Analyst reporting to the Site Controller you will support the Site Controller by preparing and distributing financial information to multiple functional management and team members including Group Controlling Division Controlling Operations Controlling and Functional Controlling. Complete all costing activities locally.
This position is based in our Cuernavaca site with a hybrid work schedule: 4 days at the office and 1 day remote.
In this exciting opportunity youll:
Site Support
- Be an interface to Givaudan Financial Services and external auditors.
- Help with the annual budget process for the site
- Perform a monthly review of the automated accrual proposals for costs related to Indirect Materials & Services for all the sites cost centres
- Ensure proposed accruals are materially correct and booked
- Review all the sites contracts managed through SAP X-Apps
Inventory Control
- Monitor and report on inventory control
- Ensure controls are operating and inventory balances are correctly reported for the site (both internal and external inventory)
- Analyse inventory movements
- Support the evaluation and analysis of slow moving and obsolete stock
- Evaluate and analyse discards/write-offs. Provide transparency on types of write-off transactions at the site
- Support forecasts of inventory and CDI
Cost Analysis
- Manage annual and periodic requirements of costing activities and analysis of COGS
- Prepare detailed product costing analysis
- Analyse period costs and investigate issues
- Analyse process order variances and provide transparency on issues/concerns
- Ensure local standards are accurate when compared to actual costs
- Update standards where applicable to reduce variances
Financial Performance Analysis
- Analyse and coordinate activities associated with operations performance on site
- Prepare monthly Indicators
- Prepare data for the site controller for the regular cost centre and investment reviews and follow-ups
- Oversee and ensure correct management accounting structure consisting of cost centre data allocation keys and allocation process contract set up.
Financial Analysis&Reporting
- Support requirements associated with the month-end financial close
- Review balance sheet and P&L accounts that may require journal entries accruals/reserves and reclassifications for the site operations
- Analyse the site P&L and identify variances vs. budget last year and outlook.
- Support Givaudan Finance Services in the troubleshooting of closing issues
Investment Process
- Support planning and tracking of spending against the capital plan for the site
- Coordinate periodic inventory of fixed assets for the site.
- Ensure closure of investment projects and subsequent capitalisation of AUC
You
Your professional profile includes:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Economics.
- 4 years experience in similar roles in a manufacturing environment.
- Fluent English.
- Knowledge of SAP CO/FI.
- Advanced Excel skills (can perform complex functions)
