About Organization
As a Network Benchmarking Analysis Expert you will be tasked with analyzing Rakuten Mobiles competitive position in the industry. Your role involves defining areas of strength and identifying opportunities for improvement from an end-to-end (E2E) perspective utilizing a variety of tools including drive tests crowdsourcing and passive probing.
Job Duties
The Network Benchmarking Section prioritizes the transparent assessment of the global development of Rakuten Mobile Inc. (RMI) networks advocating for enhanced quality and performance.
Responsibilities
Analyze top-ranking issues affecting the entire network and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to focus on delivering real achievable end-to-end value.
Analyze competitors features and implementations focusing on their strengths learning from their weaknesses and contributing to enhancements in Rakutens software.
Specific tasks
Develop a benchmarking analysis model.
Lead monthly benchmarking campaign analysis and reporting.
Conduct in-depth analysis of data files and logs to identify areas for improvement across Core Radio and Transport networks.
Act as a role model for team members in terms of ownership proactivity and responsibility.
Cooperate efficiently with end-to-end stakeholders to identify improvement areas and drive actions to implementation.
Create a monthly benchmarking report including a detailed version for technical staff and an executive summary for top management.
Demonstrate both quantitative and qualitative skills and the ability to quickly understand and assess complex issues to make informed decisions and escalate when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree (BS) in Engineering or a related field.
Experience in end-to-end mobile network analysis including 4G & 5G Radio/Core/Transport.
Strong knowledge in analyzing drive test logs Layer 3 messages and PCAPs. Experience using various benchmarking analysis tools such as XCAL XCAP QGIS OpenSignal etc.
Experience in quality KPIs and performance tracking.
Experience with 4G and 5G radio features.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience using passive probing and crowdsourced tools for analysis and troubleshooting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills fluent in English.
Profound analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentation tools.
